Daniel Bushrah Sesay / President

Daniel is originally from Sierra Leone in West Africa.  Both Abu and Daniel started dreaming about helping our home country, Sierra Leone in 2005.  As president of RSL his duties will be to oversee and lead the organization. For 10 years he led worship at Applewood Community Church in Golden, Colorado.  He is currently the worship leader at Foothills Bible Church in Littleton, Colorado.  He has always sought to partner with the churches that he has served to help the people of Sierra Leone in any way possible through missions and relief work.  Daniel moved with his wife to Colorado in 1994 where he studied music at Colorado Christian University; he finished with a degree in Music Ministry.  They have two daughters who are 10 and 12.

Abu Bangura / Co-Founder

Abu is a citizen of Sierra Leone. Daniel Sesay, the president of Rebuild Sierra Leone and Abu have known each other for over 25 years. They worked together in the same Youth For Christ organization in Sierra Leone for many years until their contract ended and they both moved to the United States in the same year, and eventually lived about 10 minutes away from each other in Colorado. Over a long period of reminiscing about the very difficult economic conditions that they grew accustomed to in Sierra Leone, they often talked about how and what possibilities that they may explore to help victims of the war and other poor families whose economic conditions are far worse than what they had to contend with. As a result, Abu is the co-founder of Rebuild Sierra Leone. As vice president, he brings over a decade of team player experience acquired from working with a variety of professionals in the healthcare field. He intends to mobilize members of the board, the officers, and other friends to promote the organization's goals and objectives. He plans to work in collaboration with the organization's president in planning and taking initiatives to determine the direction of Rebuild Sierra Leone under the direct supervision of the board of trustees.
